What is Bigger Love?
To me, Bigger Love is the fuel that powers the engine of the self.
I have been through my fair share of relationship break-ups. This journey taught me that Bigger Love starts with nurturing self-love. If you do not accept or cherish yourself, it will be difficult for you to accept love from others; in fact, whether consciously or subconsciously, you may even push it away.
Self-love also affects your relationship to your own life. I sometimes find myself plagued by self-doubt after shifting professional gears, for instance. But, when I take the time to consult my intuition, I realize I am still on a heart-based journey that brings my super power to the work I do.
JOURNEY TO BIGGER LOVE
-
Nurturing self-love and self-acceptance
-
Reconnecting to the inner light of your true self
-
Quieting mental noise to gain clarity

-

-
Aligning with your authentic self

Rosalie e’Silva
Yoga Nidra & Meditation
Rosalie is an international journalist and yoga teacher in Hong Kong. She is passionate about helping students explore their mind-body connection through yoga nidra, meditation and sound healing. She loves how these practices can help students plug into a deeper part of themselves and realise their unlimited potential. Yoga nidra helped Rosalie overcome a fear of public speaking and then become a TV journalist. She loves facilitating this kind of transformation for others through her classes and retreats in Hong Kong and online.
FACILITATORS
Matthew Teague
Breathwork | Polarity Process Journaling
Matthew has a Western background in human geography, food systems and permaculture, coupled with a deepening interest in Eastern approaches of Ayurveda and energetics. As a trauma-informed Breathwork facilitator, registered yoga teacher and holistic energy coach, Matthew is a student and a teacher of techniques of bodily and emotional regulation. He shares practices that have helped him and those around him dis-cover and process unconscious patterning and integrate generational trauma. His main focuses include harnessing the breath in a therapeutic and conscious setting, guided meditation and self-affirmation techniques, mindful food practices and introducing people to methods of self-therapy. Matthew’s aim is to provide a safe container in which people can be comfortable being themselves.
Paloma Geber
Food and Energy
Paloma’s Kitchen creates bespoke plant-based menus in partnership with spiritual-minded creators of events, workshops and retreats. The intention is to prepare food with loving presence to bring healing and heightened awareness through the act of cooking, eating and sitting down with a community to share a meal. She is a certified Holistic Health Coach (IIN graduate) and is passionate about intuitive cooking and healing foods.
Aya Seng
Empowered Flow
Aya still remembers struggling through her very first yoga class – expecting nothing more than simple stretching, she was totally unprepared for the physical demands of a serious yoga practice. Fast forward eight years, and now she enjoys spreading her love and knowledge of yoga as both a practitioner and a teacher. For Aya, yoga is about taking the time to look after ourselves and explore our physical bodies. It moves beyond the idea of being flexible and/or performing a difficult asana into an exploration of how one approaches each asana. Aya deeply believes that yoga is for everyone.
Tata Tse
Gong Bath
As a certified sound therapist, Tata has been blessed to share sound vibration in Hong Kong, Koh Phangan, Ubud, Edinburgh and Egypt – from jungle to city, sacred lands to fairy lands. Trained by leaders in the field, Tata has studied under Martha at Red Door and attended Gong Master Training with Don Concreaux. She has also undertaken Integrative Vibration Training with Dimitri Miteff and has completed 15 hours of Crystal Bowl Healing Training with Roni Miteff. Tata finds sound to be the most powerful modality. It is her mission to share the benefits of sound vibration with people in Hong Kong.
THE PRACTICES
Yoga Nidra
Rosalie will guide you through a practice of yoga nidra, also known as yogic sleep. Your body will be guided into a state of deep relaxation while your mind will remain awake and alert. In this highly receptive state, you can unwind your nervous system, let go of the tension stored in your body, and experience a profound rest.
Rosalie likes to think of yoga nidra as a kind of internal yoga that is practiced while lying on your back with your eyes closed. Yoga nidra opens the proverbial door to your inner world, allowing you to:

-
Tap into your internal guidance
-
Receive insights and messages
-
Pave the way for your sankalpa or heart-felt intention to unfold

This session will be set to the sound of singing bowls to help you journey even deeper within yourself.

As someone who has a super busy mind and a day job in corporate leadership, I am no stranger to sleepless nights. I have tried everything under the sun: melatonin, 5-HTP, valerian, CBD, you name it. There was one practice in particular, however, that I feel really worked…
Yoga Nidra has helped me ground my energy at night, increasing the quality of my sleep. Since I have made a habit of listening to my friend Rosalie’s and her teacher Ali’s Yoga Nidra recordings after a stressful day of work, I have experienced deeper, more satisfying REM sleep. I feel fresher in the mornings now—and I have the data on my Oura ring to confirm it!
Polarity Processing Work
Matt will teach you a unique journalling technique that harnesses the power of understanding opposites to delve into unconscious patterning within the mind.

Journalling helps you take the stance of a witness, maintain presence and develop equanimity within your own life instead of being pushed and pulled between positive and negative polarities. This versatile tool can be used at any time to probe a deeper understanding of life situations that leave you feeling stuck or blocked. In a way, it is a form of self-therapy that is always at your disposal.

Do you struggle with meditation? I have been learning to meditate for almost seven years, and it still takes skill to quiet my monkey-mind down. Checklists, where I need to go next, things that happened, people who made me angry—all these endlessly run through my head.
Special breathing techniques have helped me to get into the meditative zone. Breathwork is an active way to connect your mind with your body and re-center yourself, and this skill is something you can always keep at your disposal. When I feel suddenly flustered at the office, for instance, or triggered by an event, I turn to my breathwork.
Our breathwork expert, Matt Teague, is magical at holding space for people. He has spent the last year learning from different masters from around the world, and he’ll be bringing Polarity Processing to this retreat. You’ll feel you really have dropped into another world when Matt leads you through his breathwork and meditation. I believe an experience like this is a first in Hong Kong!
Empowered Flow
Aya and Joyce will lead you through Empowered Flow, a Vinyasa style yoga practice created by international yoga pioneer Victor Chau, that seeks to challenge you to transform physically, mentally and spiritually – one asana at a time. You will discover new ways to move your body, experience personal breakthroughs, see the world with a new perspective, delve deep into your weaknesses and turn them into your strength. Just like a caterpillar, you will metamorphose into a better version of yourself – a butterfly that spreads its wings and inspires others through yoga practice.

Hong Kong probably now has more yoga teachers than school teachers, and I realize about half of Instagram is filled with posts of yoga poses (asanas). Still, this particular Empowered Flow is special and dear to my heart.
I love setting and achieving challenging goals. Empowered Flow employs a unique sequence that prepares and builds your skills progressively, so that before you know it, you are doing things you never thought you could do.
What I love most about Empowered Flow is that it’s so much more than just poses. It helps me to reconnect with myself and release a lot of the ego that does not serve me. In fact, I love it so much that I took my 200 hours YTT with Victor Chau!
It’ll be my honour to bring this practice to you all with my friend and co-teaching partner, Aya Seng.
Gong Bath
The vibrations of the meditation gong have a salutary effect on the body and mind both. Tata will facilitate a gong bath, an ancient sound experience that will encourage the flow of the chi and prana life force through your body. As you listen to the beats, you will feel the physical tension slip away as your circulatory system relaxes into a peaceful rhythm. Meanwhile, your mind will transition from a beta (awake) state to the powerful theta (lucid dream) state of healing and rejuvenation.

It can be tough to break recurrent patterns—especially harmful ones—but it can certainly be done! Gong baths are powerful experiences that can help you break imprints that have ceased to serve you. I myself have attended a number of gong baths around Asia, and I can attest to the fact that each one has transformed me.
Over the past year, I decided to take this one step further and learn to play the gongs myself. To that end, I began my studies with Gong Master Martha Stewart and became acquainted with other talented practitioners.
I am excited to bring Tata Tse’s Gong Bath practice to all of you on this retreat. Her journey has always inspired me—having discovered sound healing during her battle with cancer, Tata harnessed the power of gong baths to help her on her journey. It is clear, when you hear her beats, that Tata plays from her heart.
Cacao Ceremony
Cacao has a long-standing history of opening the heart and boosting mood.
On this retreat, we will come together in a sacred circle to consume a cacao beverage made from beans and seeds in their purest forms. Matt will lead you through the cacao ceremony to share, connect and seed positive intentions and manifestations. You will perform a relaxing meditation and visualization journey with the view of the beach extending in front of you.
I experienced my first cacao ceremony in Ubud, Bali, and I still remember how my body felt free and blissful, how my mind became receptive to inspirations and insights. I was able to move beyond noisy thoughts and connect to my intuition.
Soil to Soul
What you eat directly translates to how you feel; your food has energy, in more ways than one!
Paloma Gaber will be treating you to farm-to-table meals throughout your entire retreat. Originally trained as a health coach (like me), Paloma has honed the art of cooking heart-based meals: She listens to her heart and translates this energy into the food she shares.
All ingredients are locally sourced from the Organic Lamma Farm, which I personally had the pleasure of visiting last week—I’m still enjoying my big basket of organic goodies! My time at the farm clarified how important these parts of the process really are: touching the soil as I pull out the carrots, or harvesting my own lettuce. In the end, the carrots tasted sweeter; the lettuce was particularly crispy. I could sense that these foods were steeped in the love that had been put into their soil.
